Migration to Shopify 

After seven years using a free platform that allowed the brand's evolution and recognition, De Benguela decided it was time to evolve. The migration from the Wordpress e-commerce platform to Shopify was motivated by the need for a more functional website, providing a smoother shopping experience for customers and greater operational autonomy for its team.

As De Benguela grew, so did the challenges and the need for more advanced innovations. It was essential to find a robust platform that not only kept pace with the brand's accelerated growth but was also ready to support future and continuous improvements. Previous problems, such as an unintuitive shopping cart, slowness, and lack of autonomy, highlighted the urgency for a more efficient and scalable solution.

New Website: Discover the main changes

It was 9 months of intense dedication by the team and much love for the project, which also included a complete brand refresh. Everything needed to be new, so, in addition to the new platform and website, the brand also underwent a visual identity reformulation, which even impacted the photos — there were more than five sessions, resulting in about 8,000 images. Every detail was thought and rethought with the aim of creating an excellent and engaging shopping experience for customers.

The new visual identity was designed to reflect De Benguela's values and essence, with every element, from the color palette to the website layouts, carefully chosen to capture attention and convey the brand's message.

For customers, the website was rebuilt to provide faster interaction, and the purchasing process was optimized for a fluid and unobstructed shopping journey.  

De Benguela's product page, for example, now displays variants with detailed icons and illustrations of textures. This new configuration allows customers to locate and select their preferred texture, length, color, and weight with a simple click, significantly facilitating the search for specific products. 

Every product on the site now comes with complete information, a FAQ section, and suggestions for similar products. This helps customers have all the information they need to make good choices. Additionally, the latest news is highlighted so customers don't miss recent releases.

Loyalty Program: De Benguelovers

A new loyalty program has been launched, De Benguelovers, the first in the hair industry to convert every real spent into cumulative points on the website. This program reinforces De Benguela's commitment to customer relationships, rewarding loyalty.

Addressing the specific needs of De Benguela's clients, we developed personalized quizzes:


1) Texture Quiz: Is an essential tool, especially for clients who are going through hair transition and are still getting familiar with their hair's natural characteristics. The Quiz helps to understand your texture, aiding in the correct product choice.



2) Method: During hair transition, it's common to face doubts about how to care for new hair textures that emerge when chemical treatments and styles that modify natural texture are abandoned. This quiz helps understand which method is best according to the experience the client wants to have.
