You don't need to use all of Jataí's features immediately. Activate only what you deem necessary for your operation:

• Additional Fields in Orders: Ideal for integrations with ERP or logistics, helping to keep your data in compliance with necessary requirements.

Important: Before following the instructions below, you need to install Jataí.

1) Confirm your Checkout is on the updated model

Check if your store uses the new checkout features (One-page checkout or Checkout Extensibility). How to know if my checkout is already updated?

Check the Checkout URL

• Old Checkout URL: Old checkout: https://mystore.com.br/31789674/checkouts/3390d8b6b667324c

• Updated checkout: https://mystore.com.br/checkouts/

Check the First Address Field

• Updated checkout: the ZIP code appears before the street name.

Check in Settings

• If the checkout needs updating, a warning will appear in Settings > Checkout.
  
  

2) Activate Validation Extensions

• Go to Settings > Checkout.
• At the bottom of the screen, click on Add Rule.
• Click on the validation and uncheck the option Allow all customers to complete checkout.
• Don't forget to click on Activate.
  
  

3) Verify if Rules are Active

Confirm that all rules have been activated correctly.

In the checkout validation settings, you can customize messages and create personalized rules for your business.

How to customize Order Fields (Order Note Attributes)

Important: Before following the instructions below, you need to install Jataí.

1) Note Attributes Configuration

1. Within the Jataí app, locate the Order Fields page.
2. Click on Edit to modify existing pre-configured fields.
3. These fields will be automatically added to the Note Attributes section of your orders.

2) Creating an Advanced Edit of Order Fields

Explore maximum customization with advanced editing. In this mode, you can add and duplicate a variety of custom fields as needed.

1. Click on Access Advanced Edit.
2. On the screen, all available field options and their correspondences will appear.
3. Click on Add Field.
4. In the Name field, enter how it will appear in the Note Attribute (in your integration documentation, use the exact same field name to facilitate integration).
5. In Attribute Type, select the best option corresponding to this field.
6. After configuring the desired fields, click on Save to apply the changes.

Place a test order in your store to check if the new note fields appear correctly on the checkout page and if the data is stored correctly with the order.

3) Capturing Payment Method Information

Ensure a more complete transaction analysis by automatically capturing the payment method information used.

To configure your payment method, you will need to obtain the access token.

Verifying Note Attributes Information in Orders

To verify if the integration is working perfectly, you can:

In the Application Dashboard

• Click on View Status and History. All processed and unprocessed orders will appear there.

On the Shopify Home Screen

• Click on Orders and then open the order.
• In the upper right corner, all order field information will appear.
• Scroll down the order screen to identify the Jataí app and the captured information.

Attention: We recommend using the 3-page checkout, as, in most cases, it better reflects the behavior of checkout extensions.

The One Page Checkout model can generate inconsistencies in ZIP code validation — the warning is displayed to the user, but the purchase is not effectively blocked.

To ensure the correct functioning of rules and validations, we suggest prioritizing the 3-step checkout.

1. Is Jataí compatible with all Shopify plans?
Yes, Jataí is compatible with all Shopify plans, including Shopify Plus. It is designed to adapt to the different needs of each version, ensuring efficient and hassle-free integration.

 2. Do I need to have the updated Shopify checkout (One Page/Extensibility) to use the Jataí app?

To record Order Fields, Jataí works with both Checkout Extensibility/One Page and the previous model. The only function that requires the updated checkout is the checkout rules, as they are exclusive to the new update.

• For Checkouts with Separate Street and Number Fields:

Activate street and number validation (separate fields): Make sure the checkout is configured with separate fields to enable this validation.

• For Checkouts with Combined Street and Number Fields:

Activate Street and Number Validation (single field): Check if your checkout is using combined fields to apply validation correctly.

 

8. How can Jataí's new order reprocessing feature benefit my operation?

Jataí's new order reprocessing feature offers more control and flexibility in managing your orders, allowing you to resolve problems quickly and independently, directly through the app. 

How to Reprocess Orders:

1) Access the order you want to reprocess.

2) Click the pencil icon to edit the information if necessary.

3) In the upper right corner, click on "More Actions".

4) Select "Reprocess Order" and confirm with "Yes".

5) Monitor the status and history of your orders on the Jataí home page, by accessing the "Status and History" section.

 9.  Does Jataí change my checkout?
No. It does not change Shopify's layout, it only validates and organizes address data.

🛠️ Common Problems

10. The app was installed, but the data does not appear in the order. What should I check?

• If the app is active in the store.
• If the checkout rule is configured and active.
• If the ERP is correctly mapping the extra fields.
  

12. How does address validation work?

• Separate fields (Street, Number, Neighborhood): activate validation for each field.

• Single field (combined address): activate validation in the single format.
  This helps to avoid autocomplete errors (Facebook, browsers, etc.).

13. My checkout does not have separate fields for street, number, and neighborhood. How do I activate it?
This feature needs to be requested from Shopify support. It is new, so you may need to send them this documentation.

Jataí App [Tiny Mapping Configuration]

Jataí already has native integration with Tiny. However, in some specific cases, a brief mapping of the fields will be necessary.
